Preparing the Heart

Yesterday I played an amazing youtube post of a symphony orchestra playing the songs of Israel. There was a solo clarinet (Anna-Lee's instrument), out front playing from the heart - no music sheets, eyes closed, engaged. The audience with smiles, or clapping, or reflecting. When it was over, Anna-Lee pushed "replay."

The last couple of weeks, we have been reading stories - simple stories in children's books, of those who had courage to step out and help the Jewish people during WWII. Simple stories that result in tears dripping down the face.

This is preparation of the heart.

Shop 'til you drop

Or 30 minutes, whatever comes first.
Usually I drop first.

Today, I lasted a bit longer. We went to a "travel store." It is a very interesting store with items I never would have imagined!

Anna-Lee and I both purchased new luggage. Our old luggage would not survive a plane trip with its broken zipper, disintegrated inner lining, and frayed outer core.. Rolling our luggage around the aisles was fun. I think Anna-Lee thought choosing a luggage tag was most interesting. Lots of variety.

So which one do you think is mine and which one Anna-Lee's?

One interesting item we picked up at the Travel Store was a tiny little container (about the size of dental floss) with 50 sheets of laundry detergent. i.e. there is nowhere to wash clothes except the bathroom sink.

We also got some quick drying clothing - thanks Valerie for that heads up!

All in all a productive visit to the store. And only a mild headache.
